Goodbye old friend

Two weeks ago we said goodbye to an old friend.  This friend has been with us since I graduated from college in May of 2000.  She has helped us move four times, brought home two beautiful babies from the hospital, been to Branson countless times, carried us to see precious family, and so much more.  Through it all she never complained, or needed any repairs.  She was a great car, her only flaw was her size.  We will miss the ol' girl.
November 2009 the night we traded her in at the dealership-Goodbye 2000 Toyota Camry. (yes Lexi is wearing boots with shorts, I have lost control of dressing her.)

Here she is though the years....

Our O'Fallon house under contract May 2006, Gracie 1, Lexi almost 3.

Yes, I am a dork and took this picture!  She had 118, 000 miles when we traded her in.

But we are not without....we added a new friend to our family.  Here's hoping she is as wonderful as our old one was.

This will be my 3rd vehicle and they have all been

Family Fun Night...and Branson

Once a year we have a family fun night at school.  The school serves FREE hotdogs, chips and drinks for the whole family, plus two full gyms of "carnival" type games.  It is great for the community.  Most of the clubs from the HS run different booths, like this one, panty hose/orange race--classic!

Gracie won, but of course she totally cheated!

I laughed so hard at Gracie doing the Limbo.  She saw other kids crawling on the floor when the bar was really low, so when she did it even before the bar got low she was on the floor--very funny.

We got to spend a weekend in Branson with mom and dad-perfect weather!

Gracie is over her fear and road the roller coaster without any adult-they even had their hands up (in the back)

Gracie and her BEST BUDDY.  That is what she calls my dad, so very sweet.

Quick trip to TN

Two weeks ago we made a quick trip to visit The Hines in TN.  It was wonderful to see them all and to get away for awhile.
While we were there Hayden had a wrestling tournament we all decided to go to cheer him on.
Some did more cheering then others....

Hayden was awesome! (In case you were wondering, Hayden is the boy on the left, not the brown boy wearing green like Gracie thought.)

They girls did watch a little...

Here is the cheering...this was his last match to win his eaight class.

Of course he won...

Apparently I only took pics at the tourney.  Even though it was a short trip it was worth it.

We saw lots of animals, the weather was perfect!

Cuba Fest

A few weeks ago we had the annual Cuba Fest here in town.  We did not make it up there on Saturday, but we did go right after church on Sunday.
The Cuba FFA had a petting zoo there.

They had a Karate demonstration, and the girls volunteered.

It was so funny to watch them.

There was also a trolly tour.  This year we went to one of the cemetaries in town and they had people from the community dress up and tell about prominate people were are buried there-very interesting.

We had alot of fun.

(Does anyone know where spell check on blogger now since they have changed the posting format?)

2 field trips

I got to go with Gracie and her class to the pumpkin patch.  It was very cold and wet-yuck!

Gracie and her good friend Sophia.

Grace and Ms. Debbie

I also got to go with Lexi and her class to the Magic House.
Mrs. Herwig and her 1st graders.

They did the Village field trip so we spent the whole time in the Magic House town.

This is for you Aunt Lissa-Lexi the Librarian.

It was great fun to go to both field trips, I am just glad I was able to do both.  It would have been ugly if I did one and not the other.
Stay tuned for more fun from the past month...
