Lexi our Soccer Star

Lexi started her first sports team, soccer. She loves it. Now, she is horrible, but since she is not lacking in the self-esteem department, she has no idea. Here she is before her first game.Is she not the cutest thing?
They actually won their first game, she was so excited. If you're keeping stats please note that we marked her down for one assist. Of course she has no idea what that means and she didn't do it on purpose, remember she's not good, but we still are counting it!
T-ball is up next and Gracie gets to play too, that should be interesting...

2009 SDC Trip two

Alissa and I went on our first SDC trip of the year with just us and the kids. Erin had a track meet and Jon was out of town with baseball, so we hit the road. Since Celebration City didn't open this year we just got a hotel with an indoor pool, which was a great filler for our Friday night.

Kalista and Gracie
Breakfast at SDC we were seated at the "magic" table. We went back to the same place for lunch and were seated at the same table. It was so funny to watch the kids move from sitting on their bottoms, to knees, and then stand next to the table to eat before they finally said something about the table getting taller. Then of course the only way to get the table back down is to put your elbows on the table, wiggle your fingers, and say (get this) "down table."
Kalista and Lexi on the kiddie roller coaster.

Traditional pics at the end of the day. Gracie was happy to pose nicely!!
For all you people who say Gracie is always so sweet...........
Oh and notice the band aides on Gracie's knees. Lexi was excited and pushed past her so she fell. Now when Gracie gets hurt she is a little dramatic...people around us probably thought it was a compound fracture and really it was just two skinned knees. We had our first trip to the SDC First Aid Station and she so kindly gave them an encore performance of the show--nice.
...and silly pics.
Isaac cracks me up in this one, this was actually a pose he made on purpose.

Another successful trip, sorry, I know you all were looking forward to more happy frogs, but I had to stop!! :)

Thanks and what's new...

Thanks so much for the advice. I have done choices on outfits and sometimes I still get tears because she really gets her heart set on certain things together, we'll keep working on it, just don't judge ME when you see her looking crazy! :)

This week is the big TEST. No, not MAP, but here K-2 does district achievement testing, Stanford-10. Lexi is pumped. Last night she even prayed that she make a 100% on her test. All weekend I have heard how she needs to go to bed early and eat a good breakfast because Miss Hanks said so. She even checked on times at night on Friday to make sure it wasn't after the time Miss Hanks said. Maybe I should get Miss Hanks to tell her not to wear crazy clothes and then maybe she would listen!! :)

Yesterday we were informed that in church Gracie told her teacher that she could not go to Heaven because she lived in Cuba and that was too far away!! (You never know what that girl will say!)

Serious Parenting Question

Lexi is really into picking her own clothes. The problem is she thinks she looks FABULOUS and in reality she looks ridiculous! For instance today she is wearing a short white skirt and a ratty white t-shirt and black knee high boots-she looks so crazy and yet I saw her look at herself in the mirror and say, "I look good." I did tell her I didn't think it look very good, but she insisted that it did. I made her put shorts on under her skirt, but let the rest go. Here's my question do I continue to let her pick out her own clothes and look ridiculous until she hopefully figures it out, or do I show her now what looks good and make her change? Please tell me what has worked for you...

Leaving Lee's Chicken

"Why are the Aliens here?"

"Gracie, WHAT are you talking about?" (Look around parking lot, and found it.) "Grace, that's an Ambulance."

The Fun part of Spring Break

On Wednesday of our Spring Break we took off to....you guessed it, Branson, for a mini vacation. It was great, I think this is the very first time we have been on a "vacation" just the 4 of us. We stayed at the Grand Country Inn that has an indoor water park which was great fun.

One of the resturants we went to had this when you walked in the door. Gracie, who has turned scared about everything lately, wouldn't climb on.
On Thursday we spent the day at....you guessed it again....Silver Dollar City. Vacation Dad is WAY more fun then Vacation Mom and let the girls each do two games at 3 bucks a pop-crazy!!
Thanks Dad!
The girls were so excited to ride the tea cups all by theirselves!
It is my ultimate goal in life to have 1 million pictures of my kids on...
The Happy Frogs
The Lady Bug
the Butterfly
and of course The Great Shoot Out rides.
We also did a round of indoor put put at our hotel.
We also went shopping at the outlet stores the Arel sweatshirt Gracie is wearing we got for 4 dollars at The Disney Store!
