Who are you?

On June 4, 2008, I will have been blogging for one year. In the last 10 months (I didn't have a counter until 2 months into blogging) my counter has counted over 12,000 hits. (Is hits the right term? It just seems so weird.) Now I am confessing that a good 10,000 is actually me checking to see if anyone has left me a comment, I'm a little obsessed, but that still leaves over 2,000 "hits" not by me. So, I am wondering who are you? I know of a few people who check, family and close personal friends that I have threatened within an inch of their life if they didn't check, but who are the rest of you? Do I know you and you have never felt compelled to comment? Did you just randomly click on my site from someone else's blog? Are you a blog stalker? I am completely OK if you are (as long as your not crazy) because I totally am a blog stalker myself. I check random people's blogs almost daily. Matter of fact, I hate it when one of my kids or husband looks over my shoulder and says, "Who's that a picture of." and I have to confess, "I don't know." It makes me feel like I need some serious therapy. I like to think of reading blogs as my drug of choice. At the end of the day to relax instead of having a drink or getting a bowl of ice cream (which I always want) I will sit down and read blogs. It's reality TV only it's about real life, with real people, going through a lot of the same things I am going through. WOW, how did this post go from 'Who are YOU' to 'Let me talk about MYSELF and totally feel the need to justify why I read blogs.' I tell you what, I DO need therapy!! So back to the topic at hand...Please leave a comment, introduce yourself and tell me if this is your first visit (and only) or if you stop by occasionally. I can't wait to hear from ya.

I have to admit I am a stalker. I find your family so fascinating. I feel like I know you. I would like for you all to come and visit me. I live in tennessee and If you are up for it maybe we could vacation together. I hope you are not freaked out by this comment because I am a little wierd. I have four kids that your girls could play with. Anyway, think about it and let me know. I will continue to check daily.

Hey Angie it's Denise McCoy. I've been reading your blog daily since camp last year. Meredith is also a daily reader! I too, have a passion for other people's blogs. I have to admit I get alittle frustrated when i think people don't update quickly enough. Then i realize i check for updates two or three times a day. I think perhaps I need a hobby. I love reading about the girls antic's. They have grown so much this year. I won't be at camp but I hope to come down during the week to visit. Take care and keep blogging!!

Hey there! I came across your blog when visiting Connie’s site. I taught Shayne in third grade. That being said, I also I work with your sister, Amy. One day, I was checking out your blog and came across a picture of your sister at the Cards game. I couldn’t wait to get to work and tell her about it. I should have introduced myself a long time ago, so I wouldn’t feel like I was a blog stalker. You are a gifted writer, and I enjoy reading about your girls.

Take care,
Michelle

Anonymous: How ironic! We actually already have some great friends in TN. They also have four kids and we go on vacation with them. I am sure they wouldn't mind if you joined us next summer, that would be awesome!! One question...how does your family feel about tigers? My husband has issues with them!

Denise: Oh, I didn't know you were still checking on us! I am sad you will not be at camp this year, you must come and visit! (I too get a little upset when people don't update regularly.)

Michelle: My sister did tell me that you had been reading my blog. I am flattered that you came back after the first visit. :-) Thanks for leaving a comment and just remember that I am WAY cooler then my sister!

Ok, I usually tell myself that I don't have time to comment when I check other people's blogs, but then I remember how great it is when we get comments on our blog, so I'll try to be better at it. That being said, I'm Rebekah (Runcie) Glisson from camp. I can't really remember when I found your blog, but I actually think it was through Elizabeth's (Busy Days Fun Days blog), which is ironic because I go to church with her. I have enjoyed catching up with your family and "meeting" your two cute girls. We have two girls ourselves--feel free to come check us out. I have enjoyed your different posts about camp!

Big surprise...it's just me! I'm not clever enough to post something like anonymous (if it is who I think it is) but it gave me a giggle! I have to admit, I am also a blog stalker. Sometimes I just sit here and click through random blogs until I find one that looks interesting (have to be careful...some of them have some pretty controversial content). I also must admit that I have been known to check blogs several times in one day (I don't get out much these days :) ) so many of those hits are likely just me! This was a great idea for a post. You would be amazed at how many people have told me they read my blog...even random people I see out and about that I haven't spoken to in years! That's all part of the fun of it.

oh yeah, I also check a few other blogs through your blog and I sometimes forget someone after already clicking out of yours. Then, of course, I have to come back and give you another "hit" in order to check the forgotten blog. I do that a lot (I am pretty forgetful)! Wow, you should have titled this post "Confessions"!

I read your blog b/c I am your best friend in all of Cuba! I might copy cat you and try something like this. People always tell me they read my blog, but they never comment. I'm so curious to know who all is out there!

Hi Ang!

Fun idea to see whose reading your blog!

I think I originally found your blog through my brother.

I think we should have a blogger/neotez reunion!

Hmm, well you know me. I'm not sure how I found your blog? I'm sure it was from someone else's. Sometimes I click on so many links through people's blogs that I lose where I am and how I got there. Sad, I know.

When are you hitting camp this year?

Hey Ang,
You know I check yours regularly and always get a good laugh! Can't remember how I found you though... maybe you found my blog from Jasmine?? Anyway, it's been good to see how you're doing and to hear your wonderful and entertaining stories on motherhood!

I'm SO surprised this actually worked (a little bit). Maybe I should create a post like this. I too often wonder WHO in the world is looking at my blog as like you, not many leave comments. It took having a baby to get 9 comments-my highest number ever. Now many people e-mailed me, but still it's not the same. I completely understand. So if any of you reader's of Angie's blog read mine--let me know! BTW--I'm Ang's sister-in-law, the "Chicago Earnhart's" link on her blog...hope you get more comments Ang!

Hi Angie! I found your blog through Becky's, and I love checking in your fun fam! Your 2 sassy girls (as you say) appear just as beautiful and fun as their Mom! You've got quite a knack for great blogging- keep it up :)

I have already told you this but I check your blog a couple times a day and truth be told.... get upset if you go days without an update! I just never leave comments because I am not like the others who have families and kids that do the same stuff that they can relate to. I feel like i sound like a child creeper when I comment on Gracie peeing standing up.... however I love reading about your life and am very glad that I know what is going on since we never get to talk or see each other. I cant believe you have been a mom for so long now and even more that we have been friends for this long! I really love it! I think its really going to be strange when Lexi gets to the age I was when we met!

Hi Angie-
I must admit I too am a fan. I am a friend of Cheryl Rybak!!! (Where I found you!) We actually have met at Alyssa's crops. I love the way you write and am disappointed when you don't update :). I actually have a blog, but as I had a crazy job last year I never had time to post. But,as you are my post idol, now that it is summer time, I intend to try to update!
