Tuesday: Cowboys (hat $4, kerchief $.94, and Lexi's chaps/canteen/badge free)
Both days he got a standing ovation from the kids when he walked into the cafeteria in the morning. Wednesday, was pirate day but he was in STL at a conference all day. Then Thursday, he wasn't impressed with his attire, so no picture.
On Tuesday night, this town had it's first annual powder puff game. It was great!! So many people and kids showed up, it was pretty packed. Jon did the play-by-play from a wireless mic on the field. He was hilarious!! Between plays he would find kids, board members, or parents that were watching and do a mini interview with them. Everyone was dying laughing. It was a great night and a great annual tradition added to the week.
Here is Friday's pep assembly. He made his Grand Entrance and the kids went crazy.

Yes, Shane that is your tiger tail that he confiscated from his truck this summer. We are the wildcats, close enough to tigers, right?
He sported his college b-ball number "44."
Of course he won the most spirited male staff and he accepted his award like this.

Erika was so sweet, she bought the girls a little gift. Too cute.

Jon - Way to go! I am so proud of you! I am sure the kids loved this week. You have always had a great rapport with teens (what do you think it will be like when your girls are teens!?!) Looking forward to seeing your 3 girls tomorrow! Great Job. Nancy
What a cool principal! That is too awesome! My principal in high school was a stick in the mud. She wouldn't ever let us do anything!
Awwww! That is great! I am sure Jon is an awesome principal and I'm sure the kids totally love him and have lots of respect for him too! I mean, hey, he IS Big Jon! Good pics!!!
That is awesome! Angie, I am so glad you married someone you are proud of--isn't it a blessing?!
I used to get offended that most people only knew me as "Pat's wife" (or "Pat's girlfriend" at HU), but now I would rather my name be "Pat's wife" than Deborah any day.
The cowboy and the wildcat/tiger were definitely cool! Now the nerd . . . well, Jon's too BIG to be a nerd!
Great spirit and way to go being right there involved with those high schoolers. Pretty soon, they'll do anything you ask of them.
Ang, we're all proud of Jon!
Ella loved seeing these "silly" pictures of Uncle Jon! And of course the girls in their tiaras too. So fun and great that he likes his job! Glad you are enjoying it too. I promise I will blog again someday soon. :-)
Pretty cool. I'm sure Jon has a great rapport with the students!
